Kids Art Parties:
TIE-DYE T-SHIRT PARTY
Maybe you don’t know this about us, but here at theARTery WE LOVE TIE-DYE! We’re happy to share our knowledge about the process of tie-dying, which includes some education on the color wheel and color mixing, as well as teach various dying techniques.
Designed for older kids and adults, this party theme allows each guest to create their own wearable piece of art!
theARTery branding is printed on the shirt, so you will always remember where you and your guests created this one-of-a-kind artwork.
All t-shirts are safely wrapped in a zipper pouch and taken home the same day of the party, with instructions on how to rinse out the dye and care for the garment.

Painting Parties:
DESIGN YOUR IMAGE

Adult Art Party:
Sip and Create
Create your own original acrylic painting in a subject of your choice! It’s a B.Y.O.B. art party for adults! We will custom design an image for your party (with your input) and provide all the supplies needed to create your masterpiece in a step-by-step painting process where you will paint along with your instructor! You bring the booze and the food and we will provide the art fun!
If painting isn’t your thing we can also create a crafty project of your choice!

PARTY FAQ’s
How long are your parties and what do the kids do?
Our parties are two hours long or longer and include an art project designed to your child’s party theme, as well as time for cake and opening presents. Guests also have use of our playroom.
How is the party structured?
The Birthday Child’s family may arrive 15 minutes before the start of their party time to set up whatever food items, decorations, or other party supplies they would like to use. We have a microwave available for your convenience but plan to bring a cooler if necessary.
Our parties begin with a warm up time where guests are encouraged to explore the art space and supplies. (15 minutes).
Guests are then welcomed by the teacher and encouraged to come to the project table. Projects often include 2-3 different types of art materials (painting, drawing, collaging, or sculpting). Children work on the first part of project. When children are finished they may once again choose to explore or eat snacks.
When all guests are finished, the next part of the project is set up and children are called back. The party continues in this pattern until all project parts are completed. Some assembling is usually necessary by the teacher for completion.
Typical timing for cake and presents is usually around 15 minutes for each. We tend to reserve the last 30-45 minutes for this.
Families can request variations to the schedule (examples: presents, add snack/meal time) that are easily accommodated in most circumstances.
Guests have a 15 minute period after the party to do a basic clean up (clear food from tables and cabinets, gather decorations, presents, and personal items).
What is the maximum capacity?
We can accommodate up to 12-15 children participating in the art activities and about 35 total people in the space (children and adults combined.)
Do adults need to attend?
For parties with guests older than 5 years old, we recommend that a few adults attend the party, in addition to the party hosts. If your guests are older and are used to “drop off” parties, we ask that the party hosts stay to assist, but do not require extra adults. For younger children, we request that each child has a dedicated adult chaperone.
Our studio is a working art studio during the week. We ask that parents be mindful of this, especially during clean-up times. The party teacher may ask you and other parents to assist children in putting away art supplies in the studio area. We also ask that your guests exit promptly at the end of the party so that the teacher has enough time to clean up and prepare for the next event.
Are siblings welcome?
Yes! You can have up to 12 children participating in the art projects. Siblings who will only be using our play area do not need to be included in the participant count. If older siblings attend, please know that the art activities are geared toward the age of the birthday child, but they are welcome to participate (as long as they are included in the 12-15 max participants) or they can hang out in the play area or bring a book to cozy up in our little reading nook. Our party teachers will be assisting the birthday child and their friends and will be unable to create new projects outside of the party theme you reserved.
How much do your parties cost? How do I pay?
Cost of an art party is $240 for a maximum total of 12 children participating in the project. Parents of guests are welcomed to stay during the party especially if their child will be more comfortable that way. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required and may be paid through our online reservation system. The remaining balance will be collected at the event date.
Can I tip the party coordinator?
Absolutely! We love our teachers and value the time and creative energy they put into every party. If you think you might want to tip your party coordinator, we ask that you bring cash.
What is the space like? Will I have room to serve cake or food?
Our studio is a large with lots of tables and set up space. The art room includes not only space for the party project but a place to celebrate your child’s birthday. Families will have access to tables and chairs, and there are extra tables for food gifts.
Anything else I need to know?
Optional: you may bring an mp3 player/phone to play during the party. You supply food, drinks, paper plates, cups, utensils and a tablecloth. A standard plastic table cloth almost fits across the two tables (about 10 inches is exposed).
We are located at 3400 Arctic Blvd. Suite #2 and there is plenty of parking in the rear of the building.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Your party deposit is non-refundable. Notice of party cancellation by parents must be given at least a week in advance. Any parties cancelled after a week will be subject to a cancellation fee. (Any parties cancelled by The Artery due to inclement weather or natural disaster will be rescheduled or refunded.)
